FAQ

Most importantly is SweeTooth safe?

Absolutely!  Every SweeTooth baby teether is made in the United States from 100% premium silicone that is guaranteed to be BPA-free, phthalate-free, PVC-free, and lead-free.  We use only the highest quality class VI medical & food grade silicone which is FDA and CE certified to meet or exceed safety standards in the US, Europe, Canada, and Australia.
SweeTooth was designed to be easy for a baby to grasp and hold, small enough to accommodate their mouth, yet large enough to exceed the CPSC's guideline for the definition of a choking hazard which you can see demonstrated here.

SweeTooth is constructed of solid silicone and incredibly durable; however it is only designed for babies that are 4 to 24 months.  SweeTooth should not be used as a teether outside the 4 to 24 month age range or as a chew toy for therapeutic applications such as ADHD or autism.

Like all baby toys, SweeTooth should be used under adult supervision.  Inspect teether often for damage, including cracks, punctures, and tears.  All teethers wear with use and have a functional lifecycle.  If damage is found, discontinue use as a teething device.

Does SweeTooth have any holes where moisture can get in and mold can grow?

No.  SweeTooth is a completely solid piece of silicone.  There are no holes where mold can grow.

Is SweeTooth scented?

Yes.  SweeTooth's gentle and subtle aroma helps soothe and calm while stimulating baby's developing sense of smell.
The scent extract is 100% safe and meets all FDA regulations.  Our vanilla scent is the same one used in Phillips AVENT Soothies pacifiers which are trusted by more than 2,000 hospitals across the US.  The aroma infusion does not alter the safety or purity of the Class VI silicone which is guaranteed free of BPA, PVC, phthalates, lead, as well as hypoallergenic and latex-free.
While pleasantly scented, SweeTooth is completely flavorless.

Is SweeTooth really made in the USA?

Yes!
It’s more expensive to manufacture SweeTooth in the United States than overseas, but we know it’s the right thing to do because when it concerns child safety you cannot compromise.

As parents ourselves we understand the significant peace of mind being “Made in the USA” provides.  We’re also excited to be part of a growing resurgence in manufacturing that is returning to the United States.

Each SweeTooth is proudly made in the state of New York.  Our business office is located in Wisconsin, America’s Dairyland and home of the Green Bay Packers!  Go Pack Go!

Why an ice cream cone?

We believe the best things in life are both simple and fun.
The ice cream cone was designed with your hand in mind which means it’s ergonomically friendly for little hands.

How are the ice cream swirl and cone attached?

The ice cream and cone are joined together during the molding process which creates a natural silicone to silicone bond that is virtually unbreakable under normal use.
No glue or chemical adhesives are ever used.

How do I clean my SweeTooth?

A simple rinse under the sink will remove any dust or debris on the surface.
If you prefer to sanitize your SweeTooth baby teether you can also hand wash with a mild dish detergent followed by a thorough rinse or put it in the top rack of your dishwasher.
As is the case with any baby product, wash before use.

My SweeTooth has marks from baby’s teeth.  Is this normal?

Yes this is completely normal.  Tooth marks and indentations may appear on the surface of your SweeTooth as baby’s teeth emerge and bite strength increases.
There is no need to worry as these tooth marks do not compromise the SweeTooth’s safety or performance in any way.  SweeTooth's construction is comprised of solid silicone which is incredibly durable.

In the unlikely event you discover any rips, tears, or punctures in your SweeTooth we advise you discontinue use for the teething application.

Can my pet chew on a SweeTooth baby teether?

Absolutely not!
Animals go through the teething process just like humans but the SweeTooth baby teether is designed and intended for use by human babies within the age range of 4 to 24 months.

How can I recycle my SweeTooth?  Do I toss it in the recycle bin with my paper, plastic, and cans?

SweeTooth is completely recyclable however not all facilities are equipped to recycle silicone rubber so please check with your local municipality for more information.
